Toowoomba Biomechanics are Toowoomba’s posture and pain specialists utilising the Functional Patterns methodology. We are the only centre in Toowoomba with a Functional Patterns qualification. Functional Patterns prioritises evolutionary biology fundamentals which includes standing, walking, running and throwing. It follows the Anatomy trains myofascial meridians of movement which is how the body moves in space and is of the highest influence when it comes to pain and posture. This approach specialises in the mechanics of human movement, postural alignment, pain management, injury prevention and athletic development. We are passionate and experienced practitioners who are ahead of the fitness industry when it comes to improving your quality of life. We use highly targeted and detail oriented corrective exercises to address your root causes of pain and degeneration which the majority of the fitness and rehab industry fails to address. Toowoomba Biomechanics helps our clients improve in all aspects of health and fitness without the side effect of unwanted joint pain and stiffness. The Functional Patterns system we utilise reignites the body in a way that changes humans back to who we were before we devolved into our current problematic state.
Functional Patterns is known as a method that helps people address a broad range of conditions. Owner and founder of Toowoomba Biomechanics Matt has experienced the benefits for himself, having tried every other possible avenue to prevent injury, improve athletic performance, relieve pain and improve aesthetics. After doing yoga, pilates, traditional strength and conditioning, bodybuilding and chiropractic – Matt was following all the protocols yet still had poor posture, recurring injuries and occasional back pain. Since finding Functional Patterns, Matt’s injuries have disappeared and he walks around pain free able to play semi-professional sport. Some of what we specialise in is chronic pain, sciatica pain, muscle gain, biomechanics, gait optimisation, postural correction, weight loss, kyphosis/scoliosis, joint pain and everything in between.
